Most normal cells showed weak to moderate cytoplasmic positivity which often had a granular pattern. Additional nuclear positivity was observed in a few cases. Heart and skeletal muscle were strongly stained. Squamous epithelia, salivary glands, mesenchymal cells and most cells in CNS were negative.

Enteroendocrine cells showed strong cytoplasmic positivity. Stomach and renal tubules displayed moderate staining. Nuclear positivity was observed in neurons, trophoblasts, respiratory and squamous epithelia as well as fractions of cells in intestine, testis and urothelium. Remaining normal tissues were negative.
