The human protein atlas blogHappy Holidays
2016-12-20 The year of 2016 is coming to an end. We have published 76 blog posts (77 with this one), on everything from Project Discovery to proteomics in narcolepsy, obesity and cancer, portraits of our researchers and of course several Images of the Week. During the year we have released two new versions of the database, where RNA-seq data from the Genotype-Tissue Expression (GTEx) consortium from 28 different tissues with a corresponding tissue in the Human Protein Atlas have been included, and a new Cell Atlas with spatial location of more than 12,000 genes to 30 different organelles and cellular structures was launched. We are very happy to see so many of you using our database; this year we have had almost 9 million page views! The grand finale of this year was of course the launch of our new Cell Atlas, an event that has gained both national and international attention, with journals such as Ny Teknik, Dagens Medicin, The Economist and GenomeWeb covering it. But now: some well deserved time off during the holidays, before we return to a new, exciting 2017! Frida Henningson Johnson |
