Expression in cilia of cells in fallopian tube and respiratory epithelia.
ANTIBODY IHC RELIABILITY
Data reliability description
Presumed off target binding observed and disregarded. Pending external verification. Protein expression in respiratory epithelia can be correlated with lung RNA-seq data.
Several cases of skin, pancreatic, urothelial, gastric, lung, endometrial and breast cancer showed moderate cytoplasmic positivity. Liver cancers were strongly stained in several cases. Remaining cancer cells were negative or weakly stained.

Entrez gene summary
This gene product belongs to the tektin family of proteins. Tektins comprise a family of filament-forming proteins that are coassembled with tubulins to form ciliary and flagellar microtubules. This gene is expressed in the testis and its protein is localized to the flagella of the sperms, indicating that it may play a role in spermatogenesis. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
