Malignant cells displayed strong cytoplasmic positivity, often with a granular pattern. Several cases of malignant gliomas and skin cancers were moderately stained.
Most malignant cells showed moderate to strong cytoplasmic positivity. Several renal cell carcinomas and a few malignant gliomas, skin and cervical cancers were weakly stained or negative.
GENE INFORMATION
Gene name
AAGAB (HGNC Symbol)
Synonyms
FLJ11506, p34
Description
Alpha- and gamma-adaptin binding protein (HGNC Symbol)
Entrez gene summary
The protein encoded by this gene interacts with the gamma-adaptin and alpha-adaptin subunits of complexes involved in clathrin-coated vesicle trafficking. Mutations in this gene are associated with type I punctate palmoplantar keratoderma. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2012]
