Most malignant cells showed moderate to strong cytoplasmic immunoreactivity. Additional membranous staining was observed in several cases. Several cases of cervical and breast cancers were weakly stained or negative.
Cancer tissues showed moderate cytoplasmic immunoreactivity with a granular pattern. A few colorectal, ovarian and breast cancers displayed strong staining. Several malignant lymphomas, breast cancers and cervical cancers were negative.
GENE INFORMATION
Gene name
YKT6
Synonyms
Description
YKT6 v-SNARE homolog (S. cerevisiae) (HGNC Symbol)
Entrez gene summary
This gene product is one of the SNARE recognition molecules implicated in vesicular transport between secretory compartments. It is a membrane associated, isoprenylated protein that functions at the endoplasmic reticulum-Golgi transport step. This protein is highly conserved from yeast to human and can functionally complement the loss of the yeast homolog in the yeast secretory pathway. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
