A majority of cancer cells displayed moderate to strong cytoplasmic immunoreactivity, in some cases accentuated to the plasma membrane. Strongest staining was found in prostate and liver cancers and in lymphomas. Several cases of skin cancers and gliomas were weakly stained or negative.
Cancer tissues displayed moderate to strong cytoplasmic positivity, with additional luminal membranous staining in many cases. Gliomas were generally negative.
Cancer tissues showed moderate to strong membranous and cytoplasmic staining.

VAMP8 (HGNC Symbol)
Synonyms
EDB
Description
Vesicle-associated membrane protein 8 (HGNC Symbol)
Entrez gene summary
This gene encodes an integral membrane protein that belongs to the synaptobrevin/vesicle-associated membrane protein subfamily of soluble N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor attachment protein receptors (SNAREs). The encoded protein is involved in the fusion of synaptic vesicles with the presynaptic membrane.[provided by RefSeq, Jun 2010]
