Moderate to strong cytoplasmic and membranous positivity was observed in most cancer tissues. Gliomas, lymphomas and carcionoids as well as skin, head & neck and lung cancers were mainly negative.
A majority of cancer tissues showed moderate cytoplasmic positivity. Melanomas and a few cases of colorectal, urothelial, pancreatic and liver cancers were strongly stained. Several gliomas, lymphomas and skin cancers were negative.
Most cancer tissues showed moderate cytoplasmic staining. A few cases of ovarian cancers were strongly positive.
GENE INFORMATION
Gene name
ADCK4 (HGNC Symbol)
Synonyms
COQ8, FLJ12229
Description
AarF domain containing kinase 4 (HGNC Symbol)
Entrez gene summary
This gene encodes a protein with two copies of a domain found in protein kinases. The encoded protein has a complete protein kinase catalytic domain, and a truncated domain that contains only the active and binding sites of the protein kinase domain, however, it is not known whether the protein has any kinase activity. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2011]
