Weak to moderate cytoplasmic positivity was observed in most malignancies. A few cases of colorectal cancers were strongly stained while several liver and lung cancers were negative.
Most malignancies were negative or showed weak cytoplasmic positivity. A few cases of colorectal cancer and ductal breast carcinoma displayed moderate cytoplasmic staining.
Most of the malignant cells displayed weak to moderate cytoplasmic positivity. A majority of renal cancers and a few cases of malignant gliomas, malignant lymphomas, skin and lung cancers were negative.

Description
Calcium binding and coiled-coil domain 2 (HGNC Symbol)
Entrez gene summary
This gene encodes a coiled-coil domain-containing protein. The encoded protein functions as a receptor for ubiquitin-coated bacteria and plays an important role in innate immunity by mediating macroautophagy. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, May 2012]
