Staining summary

Most malignant cells showed weak to moderate cytoplasmic and/or membranous immunoreactivity. Several malignant carcinoids were strongly stained. Nuclear staining was observed in malignant melanomas and testicular cancers. Most renal cancers were negative.

GENE INFORMATION

Gene name

ABHD1 (HGNC Symbol)

Synonyms

FLJ36128, LABH1

Description

Abhydrolase domain containing 1 (HGNC Symbol)

Entrez gene summary

This gene is a member of the AB hydrolase superfamily and encodes a protein with an alpha/beta hydrolase fold. This domain is common to a number of hydrolytic enzymes of widely differing phylogenetic origins and catalytic functions. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
