Most cancer tissues showed weak to moderate cytoplasmic positivity. Several malignant lymphomas, gliomas and few cervical cancers were negative. Few hepatocellular carcinomas, melanomas and ovarian cancers displayed additional nuclear staining.
Most cancer tissues showed weak to moderate cytoplasmic and/or nuclear immunoreactivity. Papillary adenocarcinomas of thyroid along with a few duct carcinomas of breast and ovarian cancers were strongly stained. Testicular cancers and several lymphomas were negative.
GENE INFORMATION
Gene name
APOA1BP (HGNC Symbol)
Synonyms
AIBP, MGC119143, MGC119144, MGC119145, YJEFN1
Description
Apolipoprotein A-I binding protein (HGNC Symbol)
Entrez gene summary
The product of this gene interacts with apolipoprotein A-I (apoA-I), the major apolipoprotein of high-density lipoproteins (HDLs). It is secreted into some bodily fluids, and its synthesis and secretion are stimulated in vitro by incubating cells with apoA-I. The human genome contains related pseudogenes.
