A majority of breast and prostate cancers as well as several malignant melanomas and ovarian cancers showed moderate cytoplasmic staining. Remaining malignancies were in general weakly stained or negative.
Weak to moderate cytoplasmic and occasional nuclear immunoreactivity was observed in most malignant tissues. Cases of prostate cancers and malignant melanomas were strongly positive. Lung, lymphoma, renal and liver cancers.
Malignant tissues were in most cases weakly stained or negative. Most Breast and prostate cancers as well as several colorectal and endometrial cancers showed moderate cytoplasmic positivity.
Malignant tissues were in general negative. Most cases of breast, prostate and endometrial cancers as well as several colorectal, cervical and liver cancers showed moderate granular cytoplasmic positivity.

Entrez gene summary
The Golgi apparatus, which participates in glycosylation and transport of proteins and lipids in the secretory pathway, consists of a series of stacked cisternae (flattened membrane sacs). Interactions between the Golgi and microtubules are thought to be important for the reorganization of the Golgi after it fragments during mitosis. This gene encodes one of the golgins, a family of proteins localized to the Golgi. This encoded protein has been postulated to play roles in the stacking of Golgi cisternae and in vesicular transport. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been described, but the full-length nature of these variants has not been determined. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2010]
