Staining summary

Several malignancies showed weak to moderate nucleolar and cytoplasmic positivity. A few cases of squamous cell carcinomas of the skin and prostate cancers were strongly stained. Malignant lymphomas, gliomas, endometrial, renal and lung cancers were negative in several cases.

GENE INFORMATION

Gene name

TSEN15 (HGNC Symbol)

Synonyms

C1orf19

Description

TSEN15 tRNA splicing endonuclease subunit (HGNC Symbol)

Entrez gene summary

This gene encodes a subunit of the tRNA splicing endonuclease, which catalyzes the removal of introns from tRNA precursors. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. There is a pseudogene of this gene on chromosome 17. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2014]
