Many tumors showed cytoplasmic and membranous immunoreactivity. Strongest staining was observed in renal cancers, prostate cancers and malignant lymphomas.
Most malignant cells displayed moderate to strong cytoplasmic and membranous immunoreactivity. A majority of basal cell carcinomas, testicular, endometrial, prostate, breast and colorectal cancers were weakly stained or negative.
Most malignant tissues were negative. Rare cases of squamous cell carcinoma, liver cancer and breast cancer showed moderate to strong cytoplasmic and membranous immunoreactivity.

Entrez gene summary
This gene encodes a cell surface glycoprotein which is typically expressed on endothelial cells and cells of the immune system. It binds to integrins of type CD11a / CD18, or CD11b / CD18 and is also exploited by Rhinovirus as a receptor. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
