A majority of cancer tissues were weakly stained or negative. Colorectal, endometrial, cervical and prostate cancers showed moderate to strong cytoplasmic staining.

GENE INFORMATION
Gene name
WNK2 (HGNC Symbol)
Synonyms
KIAA1760, NY-CO-43, PRKWNK2, SDCCAG43
Description
WNK lysine deficient protein kinase 2 (HGNC Symbol)
Entrez gene summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a cytoplasmic serine-threonine kinase that belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. The protein plays an important role in the regulation of electrolyte homeostasis, cell signaling survival, and proliferation. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
