Weak to moderate nuclear staining was observed in most malignancies. A few cases of malignant melanomas and hepatocellular carcinomas were strongly stained. Several testicular cancers and malignant lymphomas were negative.
The Escherichia coli AlkB protein protects against the cytotoxicity of methylating agents by repair of the specific DNA lesions generated in single-stranded DNA.
