Cancers showed weak to moderate cytoplasmic positivity. Several cases of squamous cell carcinomas of skin were strongly stained. Many lymphomas, melanomas, lung, testes and renal cancers were negative.
Majority of cancer tissues showed weak to moderate cytoplasmic positivity with occasional membranous positivity. Cancer tissues such as breast, prostatic, testicular, lymphomas, gliomas, carcinoids, liver and cervical cancers were generally negative.
Strong cytoplasmic immunoreactivity was observed in hepatocellular carcinomas along with several cases of pancreatic, lung and gastric cancers. Several cases of lymphomas were moderately stained while other cancers were generally negative.

DAPK1 (HGNC Symbol)
Synonyms
DAPK
Description
Death-associated protein kinase 1 (HGNC Symbol)
Entrez gene summary
Death-associated protein kinase 1 is a positive mediator of gamma-interferon induced programmed cell death. DAPK1 encodes a structurally unique 160-kD calmodulin dependent serine-threonine kinase that carries 8 ankyrin repeats and 2 putative P-loop consensus sites. It is a tumor suppressor candidate. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2013]
