Staining summary

Most cancer tissues showed weak to moderate cytoplasmic positivity. Additional membranous positivity was observed in colorectal, ovarian, skin, thyroid and pancreatic cancers. Several melanomas showed strong staining. Several cases of lymphomas, gliomas, liver, testis and renal cancers were negative.

GENE INFORMATION

Gene name

DVL3 (HGNC Symbol)

Synonyms

KIAA0208

Description

Dishevelled segment polarity protein 3 (HGNC Symbol)

Entrez gene summary

This gene is a member of a multi-gene family which shares strong similarity with the Drosophila dishevelled gene, dsh. The Drosophila dishevelled gene encodes a cytoplasmic phosphoprotein that regulates cell proliferation. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
